They are porters, working near the Central market (Phnom Penh). Their main task is to carry any kind of goods to any shops in the Central market (Phnom Penh). The goods can be anything, from tins of snack, cartons of drink, toys, party decoration to reams of cloth.
They spring into action the moment the vehicle stops in front of them. Within minutes, the goods were offloaded. And with the goods on the trolley or on their back, they move swiftly, disappearing into the market. And the next moment, they re-appear from the market with empty trolley, ready for their next customers.
The work is tough. The weather is hot. Nevertheless, they do it with a smile ( or at least without complaint ). It’s all in a day’s work.
